Time Analysis

NEoWave Definition

Time Analysis is one of the defining features of NEoWave and one of the major areas separating it from orthodox Elliott Wave analysis.

According to Glenn Neely's methodology, wave structures cannot be properly evaluated through price movement alone. Time relationships are equally important in determining:

  • Potential patterns forming
  • wave degree
  • balance based on alternation

Time analysis is used throughout NEoWave to validate:

  • Flats
  • Zigzags
  • triangles
  • combinations
  • impulsions
  • corrections
  • and complex structures

A strong focus on time is a major differentiating factor between NEoWave and orthodox Elliott Wave. Most EW practitioners do not consider time a serious factor of pattern formation.
