Channeling

A technique used to identify trend boundaries and project possible price movement using parallel trendlines.

NEoWave Association

NEoWave uses more advanced channeling rules and places greater emphasis on:

  • proportionality,
  • price/time/complexity wave containment,
  • and pattern confirmation / validation.

Glenn Neely frequently explains that channels are not simply drawing tools, but structural validation mechanisms. In NEoWave, improper channel behavior can invalidate an assumed wave count.

The slope, angle, and interaction between price and channel boundaries help determine:

  • wave segment termination points
  • pattern formation (such as Impulsions, Flats, Zigzags or Diametrics)
  • and possible pattern completion points.
